Greek rock originated in the early 1960s with the creation of several anglophone pop-rock bands such as The Forminx, The Charms, The Idols, The Olympians, the Aphrodite's Child (the greek progressive band formed in 1967, by Vangelis Papathanasiou, Demis Rousos, Loukas Sideras) are only some of them.
