Palaska - Digital Printed Silk Square Scarf
Palaska - Digital Printed Silk Square Scarf
During the Greek War of Independence the weapons were the fighters' most valuable possession. One of them was Palaska, the cartridge box with the self-prepared cartridges containing gunpowder.
It was richly decorated with themes from folk tradition, antiquity, Byzantium and the Christian religion. Here is captured the coronation of King Otto.
The pattern featured on the background is a folk traditional design, usually appeared on decorative 'ifanta'.
